It has been reported in an article from the guys over at knowyourmobile.com that the Nokia N8-00 is going to be officially announced with the moniker of Vasco.

Along with this is a rumour that suspects that there will be an official announcement around the middle of April just a couple of weeks away.

The first word of the new name arose a few days ago but now seem to be a little more concrete as there was a Tweet from digital supervisor Danny Gagatt announcing that he had just completed work on a Nokia Video viral.

All we really know so far of this device the Nokia N8 is that it will be Nokia’s first Symbian ^3 based device and will have a massive 12 megapixel camera rumoured to be able to capture video at 720p HD.

There was a leaked document which has since been removed on Nokia’s website which claimed that the Vasco will ship with connectivity including Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and 3G HSDPA.
