Apple iPhone Most Popular Mobile Device Says Survey
According to an article over on techwatch it has been some 25 years since the first mobile network went live in the United Kingdom and the very first call made was on Vodafone by Ernie Wise, and to celebrate the anniversary of said occasion the University of Salford ran a survey to find out which mobile phone was the UK’s favourite.
It’s not too surprising that the iconic iPhone came out on top of the survey of some 2,000 people although it has to be said that with only thirteen percent of the vote the iPhone didn’t claim a landslide victory.
The iPhone topped the bill but was closely followed by three Nokia handsets, each garnering eight percent of the vote, the Nokia 3210, Nokia 6310 and the Nokia 5100, and furthermore Nokia grabbed 5 positions in the survey including second third and fourth.
The Motorola Razr V3 grabbed position 5 along with Motorola grabbing 3 places in the top 10 and the only other handset in the top 10 came in a number 6 and was the Research In motion BlackBerry Curve 8300.
