Nokia 5230 running Symbian S60 5th edition OS

The Nokia 5230 is similar to the Nokia 5800 so you will get the 3.2 touchscreen running on Symbian S60 5th edition OS but that’s as far as the similarities go.

First things first the Nokia 5230 is cheaper to purchase and thanks to the guys over at noknoktv we have more details for you following their in-depth review. The 5230 is again similar in size and dimensions as the 5800 but the build quality apparently isn’t quite right.

The 5230 comes with a 3.2 inch touchscreen with the standard 360 x 640 pixel resolution. The screen is pretty responsive and handles messaging just fine. Then we have the interface which is very in keeping with the 5530 and also the 5800 since the version40 firmware update.

You will have four defaulted quick access buttons for Facebook, Messaging Ovi Store and Web n Walk. The camera is 2 megapixel with no flash or auto focus, sadly there is no Wi-Fi although not a major problem as you can connect your 5230 to your laptop via USB. There are appealing features such as HSDPA, GPS and access to Ovi Maps and Ovi Share and of course Ovi Store.
