Apple have announced that a new Game Centre the sixth tent pole is on it way and coming to the new edition of this OS.

This gaming centre is a social network which includes both automatic matchmaking for the games and also the ability to challenge your friends or relatives to a game or two.

It has been reported that the game centre will have achievements and also leader boards. When you take into account that the app store has some 50k game and entertainment titles it is expected that the new network could grow fast and become a rival to other gaming networks such as Steam.
