This maybe getting a tad ahead as Apple hasn’t got round to even announcing the iPhone 2010, iPhone 4G, iPhone HD or whatever it’s being called these days, but according to an article over on unwired view, the 5th generation of the iPhone, the iPhone 2011is already in the planning.
Apparently word has come down from analyst Ashok Kumar via the street that Apple has selected Sony to supply 8 megapixel camera modules for the iPhone 2011.
Current iPhone handsets use a camera module supplied by OmniVision who will also supply the 5 megapixel camera for the iPhone 4G, HD, 2010 when it surfaces hopefully later this summer.
By the time we hit 2011 both Verizon Wireless and AT&T should have their 4G LTE networks up and running thus it is also expected that the fifth generation iPhone 2011 will support 4G connectivity. But before we get to that we still have to see the iPhone 4G/HD released.
