Here is an eye opener for sure, as it has been reported over at itproportal.com that it looks like 3 UK may be joining in with the iPhone fun and offering the device to it’s customers.

A reader who wishes to remain anonymous has told the folks at itproportal an iPhone 3GS by Hutchinson Whampoa’s 3 UK for keeping up his custom. The customer has been with 3 UK for a number of years and was apparently part of a testing programme.

Possibly for an iPhone roll out and he paid the usual £25 per month to get his 700 minutes mix and match package with unlimited internet on top. What is interesting though is that he was provided with the option of the iPhone after he threatened to leave the network.

He didn’t even need to speak to a supervisor or even ask for the PAC prior, not only that the length of contract is just 18 months which would mean the maximum amount paid will be £450 which is a truly amazing offer. We know previously that T Mobile have offered iPhones to selected high value customers.
