It looks like Vodafone is all set to expand on its Android offering even more. The wireless operator launched three new Android based devices this month and now there’s news of another.
They have just launched the HTC Desire, the HTC Legend and the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 and now there are plans to add the Vodafone 845 handset to the line up before the end of the second quarter.
The new phone is reportedly manufactured by Huawei and will run under Google’s Android 2.1 operating system. There is said to be support for tri band GSM, GPRS, EDGE at 900/1800/1900 MHz and also dual band UMTS/HSDPA at 900/2100 MHz.
The Vodafone 845 device is expected to feature a 2.8 inch touchscreen display with an unusual QVGA resolution. You can also look forward to a 3.2 megapixel camera, along with Bluetooth 2.1, plus much more. Measuring 100 x 55 x 13mm approximately will make this one of the smallest devices powered by Android.
The Vodafone 845 will also have support for Vodafone 360 service also, and Google services are to be pre installed. There are no exact details though at present in relation to when the device will be ready for sale, as soon as we know more we‘ll let you know.
