Well Android fans it looks like maybe Google is gearing up to push out the next version of the Android operating system Android 2.2 which is known as Froyo according to an article over on unwired view who gained the information via the guys over at android and me.
The word is from sources familiar with the matter that Google is currently testing Android 2.2 Froyo and that there is a good chance that there are a few Android 2.2 mobile phones already out there which are more than likely being used by Google employees.
The current feeling is that Google just might announce Android 2.2 on the 19th of May at their annual I/O conference in San Francisco, and the rumour is the first Android smartphone to gain Android 2.2 Froyo will be the Nexus One.
As for features of Android 2.2 Froyo, rumour has it that it may include free additional RAM, JT compiler, FM radio enabling, OpenGL ES 2.0 enhancements, Flash 10.1 support and the activation of a colour trackball. More as and when we hear.
