Apparently South Korea’s largest mobile carrier, SK Telecom, is to offer 8 Android smartphones in Q2 with a view to luring people from the “iPhone craze” by using the Google Android OS reports an article over on trading markets.
The word is several manufactures are making the Android based smartphones for SK Telecom which represents their fight to gain the upper hand in the smartphone arena and the fastest growing segment in the mobile market.
So who are supplying those eight Android powered smartphones? They are the Samsung, Sony Ericsson, Motorola, LG, HTC, and Pantech that’s who which is a reasonable collection of smartphone manufactures.
As for what type of devices, what features, specs and such each of the eight smartphones will feature, at the moment that is unknown or at least no one is giving out any details but we do know they will all run the Android operating system.
