If you are one of several Brits waiting patiently to grab hold of the Android packing HTC Desire it appears that you may just have to wait a little longer as according to an article over on intomobile the UK launch of the HTC Desire has been delayed.
The HTC Desire was expected to launch on O2 sometime in April but apparently O2 has now officially confirmed that the Android smartphone will not become available until the middle of May and cites delays in launch preps as the reason.
Basically the HTC Desire is the twin smartphone to the Google Nexus One, sporting virtually the same spec such as a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, 3.7 inch AMOLED touch screen, WiFi, GPS, 5 megapixel camera with LED flash, Android OS 2.1, microSD expansion and 3.5mm jack.
The main difference with the HTC Desire is thee handset runs HTC Sense UI over Android 2.1. As said previously everything looks set for a mid May launch now when you should be able to grab your HTC Desire from O2 for £99 and above depending on plan.
