The latest addition to the Nokia smartphone portfolio is the Nokia N8, and according to an article over on noknok, a smartphone has just made its way through the FCC with the handle Nokia RM-596, which looks very much like the Nokia N8.

The source article over on unwired view stated that it is the Nokia N8 with the device code RM-596, and apparently it is fairly clear that the Nokia N8 is on its way to the US; so perhaps we could see a Nokia N8 official launch in the not too distant future.

The Nokia N8 smartphone which has basically been panned by Eldar Murtazin which we reported the other day, will be Nokia’s first smartphone to sport 12 megapixel camera and will also feature full HD support and the latest operating system Symbian^3.

However, there have been reports that Symbina^3 is far from finished, thus if the RM-596 is indeed the Nokia N8 we may have a time to wait before the handset finally does gain release.
