HTC Droid Incredible on Verizon First Impressions Review
We have a first impressions review of the Verizon HTC Droid Incredible today from Aaron over at phone dog, and as expected the result is that the Verizon Droid Incredible lives up to its name, incredible.
He begins by saying that basically the Verizon HTC Droid Incredible is essentially a “Nexus One on steroids,” with its 8 megapixel camera, 3.7 inch AMOLED display, Sense user interface and a nice 8GB of internal storage.
The HTC Droid Incredible packs a 1GHZ Snapdragon processor but unlike other Sense UI packing smartphones such as the HTC Droid Eris, the Incredible in “incredibly” smooth and snappy with no lag issues and those scrolling issues on the Nexus One aren’t found on the Droid Incredible.
Images snapped on the 8 megapixel camera are sharp and colourful and there is a multitude of editing options such as contrast, saturation, brightness, white balance, effects, screen size and much more along with geo-tagging and a self-timer.
Reception wise is the areas of use have been quite pleasing and the Incredible service bars, don’t necessarily indicate the service you are actually receiving in as much when testing bars were at zero but calls still remained clear while data speed was constantly normal.
He does say though the only downside to the Verizon HTC Droid Incredible, you can view the Verizon commercial (here); he found was its battery life as starting using the smartphone at 9AM with moderate use throughout by 5PM there was only 20% battery life left.

battery life is substandard. that is my only complaint with this phone. I will likely be purchasing the larger aftermarket battery. be sure to factor that in to your purchasing equation.
