Motorola Cliq XT firmware upgrade with improvements to Bluetooth
It has been reported over at brighthand.com via t-mobile.com that T Mobile USA have recently released a updated version of the software for the Motorola Cliq XT.
The Motorola Cliq XT which was released earlier this year as a consumer orientated Smartphone now has an updated firmware version and although this brings a number of improvements it doesn’t upgrade the device to Android OS 2.1
There are definitely some notable changes in the new firmware 1.31.44 which include enhancements to the overall performance in general, touchscreen, camera and also visual voicemail. Improvements have also been made to both Bluetooth and also text messaging.
Just like the Motorola Cliq which was introduced by T Mobile last year this latest model sports a 3.1 inch HVGA touchscreen although this one uses a tablet shape without its predecessors hardware keyboard. Being an Android OS 1.5 based Smartphone it comes with the standard suite of software for connecting to Google services. The XT includes Motorola’s software MotoBlur which brings together massages from social networking services such as Facebook and also Twitter.
