HTC HD2 ROM Upgrade Released for Vodafone UK
HTC has now made available a release of a new software upgrade for the HTC HD2 smartphone in the UK on the Vodafone network although Vodafone does note that it is a generic upgrade reports an article over on softpedia.
The HTC HD2 ROM upgrade is version 1.72.161.3 and as yet there is no word on what the HTC HD2 ROM upgrade delivers to the smartphone, but before downloading and installing make sure this version is a newer version than the one you are already using.
Downloading and installing ROM version 1.72.161.3 will wipe all existing data from your HTC HD2 handset so make sure you back up all your data before doing so, and make sure you have a minimum of 50 percent battery power.

I recently got the new rom 1.72. It was added when i took my phone to be repaired and its great. Quicker and alot of new quirks been added. Cant get remote desktop to work though.
recently got a replacement hd2 with new rom version as my old one is frozen. New problem is i keep getting delivery reports even though they are turned OFF!
My HD2, as with many other HD2s, overheats and crashes / freezes if charging at the same time as running programs such as GPS . This could be very dangerous if driving. Before buying, Google 'HD2 overheating'.

i spent an hour or so making sure all my docs and things were backed up , made sure i had keys for bought software etc..
go to the site , type in my serial number.. and slap me in the face… it says "Sorry, this software download is not suitable for your device "
I wonder , which part is unsuite able .

got it a year ago , so it realy could do with a clean install to freshen things up….

which is clearly newer than what i have … yet aparently im excluded from bug fixes ?
can anyone post a working serial number so we can get these obviously intended updates for our phones ?
