When this model was launched which was back at CTIA it was known as the HTC Supersonic which we covered in an article here. And as the device had the ability to support WiMAX it made it a hot favourite.

An article over at lanewsmonitor.com gives us more information on the HTC Evo 4G release date which is expected to be either 6th June or 13th, although there has been no official confirmation on this date.

That is also the same time that Apple are holding their WWDC and also said to be launching their own new iPhone 4G. Information which comes from Phandroid is that it does seem to be in agreement with the release date which is also being now called the Verizon iPhone 4G release date. Even though to date it hasn’t been confirmed by either Verizon Wireless or Apple.

A report which we covered here, stated that the EVO 4G will be available by the end of the month for pre order. Some specifications on the new phone are said to include a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, 512 MB of RAM a capacitive multitouch, a 4.3 inch screen and two cameras, plus much more.
