3 is all set to be launching the iPhone here in the UK in the very near future following months of speculation that it’s going to start offering the device from Apple.

Thanks to a recent article over at techradar.com we now have more information on the said launch. Although a definitive timescale hasn’t been set yet, CEO Kevin Russell has stated that the iPhone would be available to 3 customers in the future.

Marc Allera, Sales and Marketing Director has said that an iPhone on 3 isn’t too far away. “we expect to range the iPhone imminently, we’re currently talking to Apple and trying to get an agreement in place”

Now one thing that isn’t clear is whether 3 would be offering the iPhone 3GS or the latest version which is widely expected to be announce by Steve Jobs on June 7th. Taking into consideration that Allera had said that the iPhone was unlikely to appear on 3 before then, it does make you wonder if the latest version could be what‘s coming our way.
