Looks like Apple is starting to consolidate their ownership over anything to do with Apple as according to an article over on Gizmodo by way of patently-apple, Apple has now filed with the USPTO for the “iTines Live” trademark.
This new filing follows on the back of Apple’s recent application for trademark of “Made for iPhone,” and also gaining the trademark of iPhone and iPad icons which we previously reported on (here).
So with Apple filing for the “iTunes Live” trademark it starts speculation that the much rumoured live music session could be hitting iTunes sometime in the future, then again it could well be just Apple tying up every legal angle over their property.
The filing for “iTunes Live” was made on the 8th of May under applications 85030139 and 85030144 and covered by International Classes 035 for “Online retail store service in the field of entertainment” and 041 which is for “Entertainment services,” and the image shown is also included in the trademark application.
