Already we have a number of HTC Evo 4G promotions popping up here and there and as we reported previously here a leaked image became available from RadioShack’s internal employee information system.
Pre-orders will be available this month for the HTC Evo 4G and it is expected to be launched at some point in June this year according to a recent post over at khabrein.info. There is an event next week which is sponsored by Sprint where we can expect to see Dan Hesse Sprint’s CEO who will hopefully be delivering all the information about the HTC EVO 4G including price and features.
The EVO has some amazing features such as running on Android 2.1 OS with a 4.3 inch TFT LCD screen with a resolution of 400 x 800 and a 1GHz Snapdragon processor. Also it will boast an 8 megapixel camera and a 1.3 megapixel front facing camera for video conferencing. Of course there will be Bluetooth, Wi-Fi which will share both 3G and 4G data speeds amongst other things.
The only drawbacks that seem to have come to light so far is that it is a little on the large side and bulky in your pocket, the WiMAX coverage areas are small and this will make the Wi-Fi experience quite weak as 4G isn’t available everywhere. Despite that little bit of negative the HTC Evo seems the best Android option to date and will surely be taking over all other Smartphones in the market, including the iPhone? Share your comments and options on this can the iPhone compete or not?
