Sprint are currently taking orders for the BlackBerry Bold 9650, the high end Smartphone which is the successor to the BlackBerry Tour according to a recent article over at brighthand.com
The device is packed with cool features including Wi-Fi, GPS and is one of just a few models which can make calls in the United States and abroad.
The good news is, that you can get it now from Sprint’s website for $200 with a new or a renewed two year contract and after the usual $100 mail in rebate. Most customer will be required to have an Everything Data Plan or a Business Advantage Messaging and Data Plan.
For those of you that are not familiar with the Blackberry Bold 9650 here is a brief description for you. The BlackBerry has the rather typical BlackBerry tablet shape and sports a 2.4 inch 480 x 360 display above an optical track pad and a compact keyboard. Of course it supports Sprint’s voice and also 3G data network and comes with Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and a GPS receiver. It has got a 3.2 megapixel camera with flash variable zoom, auto focus and video recording. It is expected that Verizon will be also offering the Blackberry Bold 9650 although this hasn’t been officially announced yet.
