The other day we posted an article concerning something new coming from T-Mobile called Project Emerald, which was speculated to be a new Android Nexus One device and could mean the HTC Desire.
Well according to an article over on tmonews by Kickstar13, T-Mobile’s Project Emerald manufacturer is indeed HTC and they source claims that the new Project Emerald device is called the HTC “Sidekick Twist” although they do stipulate that nothing has been finalised as yet.
As for rumoured specifications for the T-Mobile HTC Sidekick Twist the word is it will sport a 1GHz processor although at this time it isn’t clear whether it will be a Snapdragon, will pack a 4.3 inch Super AMOLED display, a front facing camera of some description, run Android 2.1 OS, and have 16GB onboard storage.
The strange thing is the T-Mobile Sidekick range is usually associated with a slide out QWERTY yet there is no mention of a slide out QWERTY keyboard in the specs; still no doubt all will become clear as and when more info on Project Emerald hits the net waves in due time.
