It has been announced by 3UK that they will be stocking the BlackBerry Pearl in their stores in the UK, according to a recent article over at sellmymobile.com
3UK have a deal which allows the Pearl to use 3 as the network in Britain, sadly though at the moment there has been no mention of when the handset is likely to become available in the UK.
During a press release all that was said by 3UK was that they will be announcing store release dates shortly. The BlackBerry Pearl is said to be a better version to the first BlackBerry Pearl with some better specifications including a 3.2 megapixel camera, GPS, 3G, Wi-Fi and also HSDPA connectivity.
It has also got an optical track pad as apposed to the usual trackball. Other features include social networking facilities for Facebook, Twitter, Flickr and MySpace and of course BlackBerry’s usual email and messaging options.
Figures released yesterday show that the sales of the Apple iPhone have so far out done those of Motorola. The BlackBerry by RIM is expected to have the same impact over Sony Ericsson. BlackBerry sold a staggering 10.469 million handsets against the iPhone of 8,752 for the same period.
