Well here’s some news for AT&T iPhone customers that have been dying for some tethering love. The iPhone OS 4.0 Beta 4 was released not too long ago to developers and inside this latest version of the operating system appears to be an option to allow tethering on AT&T.
The article originates from macrumors by Nikos, but apparently according to an article over on engagdet by Darren Murph, They’ve downloaded iPhone OS 4.0 Beta 4 and will let us know if they come across anything, although they do say that apparently the Big Blue has said they are “still waiting on better network performance,” so don’t get your hopes up just yet.
The guys have also come across a short one minute video which confirms that iPhone OS 4.0 Beta 4 does indeed have a tethering option although the reviewer doesn’t try to enable it.
So there it is, iPhone OS 4.0 Beta 4 brings internet tethering to AT&T, now all you need is for AT&T to allow tethering and it’s a go for the iPhone 3GS, so check out the video below and enjoy.
