Google announced a couple of days ago that it was putting a stop to online sales of the Nexus One which we covered here just in case you missed it. Now a report over at softpedia.com explains that it is available via SFR in France.
The only handset to be running under Android which was to be sold online via the company’s web store was the Nexus One. Although the device landed in the United States and also Canada in the same way it can be purchased in the UK from Vodafone the very first carrier to have the Nexus One available in store and online.
Further to Google’s announcement on the halting of sales, the Nexus One has been made available for purchase now in France through SFR a carrier part of the Vodafone Group. The Android 2.1 based device is listed for sale on its website right now and it has been reported that the intention is for the device to become available in stores from May 25th.
For just 129 Euro on contract to 419 Euro on a Pay As You Go option. With the free of contract device you wont get SFR customisations and a report recently over at androidguys implies that it might actually be the same model that originally made it Google’s web store in the first place.
