Samsung the South Korean mobile phone maker have announced the launch of an affordable touchscreen enabled device, known as the Samsung C3300K Champ.

The device according to a recent article by Ionut Arghire over at softpedia.com is expected to land on the market as not just an affordable phone but one that will prove to be very popular among mobile phone users and perhaps even more popular than the Samsung S5230 Star.

The Samsung Champ comes with a 2.4 inch resistive touchscreen display which boasts a QVGA resolution has a compact design and also runs the company’s TouchWiz Lite with widgets arranged in a 3×3 grid situated on the home screen.

The Samsung C3300K Champ also has a microSD memory card slot with support for an additional storage space for 8GB. The camera on the Champ is 1.3 megapixel and is capable of video recording as well. We can expect to see the device becoming available for purchase at some point in June and of course we’ll keep you up to date.
