Recently the Tweetie 2 iPhone app was pulled from the iTunes App Store, and you can read all about that (here), however with the disappearance of Tweetie 2, Twitter for iPhone is now available but does it offer anything better?

According to an article over on tipb by Rene Ritchie, Twitter for iPhone delivers much the same as Tweetie 2 but has been tweaked a tad up front and behind the scenes with search results now including Top Tweets, the ability to use Twitter without an account, search all tweets and find users in the same spot and browse suggested users.

Other tweaks to Twitter for iPhone are retweet have been moved to the main actions bar, the More tab has been reorganised, users with a single account can add another account under the Accounts and Settings button, and minor tweaks to tweet rendering so they match tweets as Twitter.com.

Twitter for iPhone is of course owned by Twitter and is available from the iTunes App Store as a free applications, but what we’d like to know are your thoughts on the new app if you have downloaded it to your iPhone.
