It has been suggested that Nokia and Yahoo may be about to reveal something interesting to us on Monday, whilst attending a press conference in New York.
The article from Ionut Arghire from softpedia.com explains that the latest reports on the matter are that the two companies may announce a partnership to deliver Yahoo!, email, search and other apps to Nokia handsets although there is nothing official yet.
Yahoo have sent out invitations for the press conference although it doesn’t offer too much information as to what is going to be unveiled. The rumours are suggesting that the partnership between the two has the code name Project Nike, and that this will include the unveiling of a Yahoo centric phone although others suspect that there are little or no chance of this being part of Mondays announcement.
The internet giant has already managed to explore various initiatives in the mobile industry although none have been successfully be completed. Nokia has offered some devices that people just don’t want and Yahoo has also offered services that people haven’t wanted. We will of course keep you up to date with any developments as and when they happen.
