In their never-ending pursuit to dominate and control everything that is Apple, the iconic iPhone maker applies for numerous trademarks to protect their goods. Last one we heard of was iTunes Live, and before that it was Made for iPhone.
Wee now it appears that Apple is taking the trademark thing a step further as according to an article over on technobuffalo, Apple has now applied for a trademark on the design of their retail stores.
Apparently the trademark application reads… Retail store services featuring computers, computer software, computer peripherals, mobile phones, consumer electronics and related accessories, and demonstration of products relating thereto.
So basically if Apple is granted the trademark, if you are offering any of the above you’d best make sure your store doesn’t look anything like an Apple store and that includes the colours light brown and steel grey. Make one wonder just what else Apple wants tied up doesn’t it.
