Maybe a better comparison should be between the new Dell Streak and the Apple iPad but we thought we’d do it slightly different and place the Dell Streak up against the next generation iPhone, the iPhone 4G in a specifications comparison for you.
So to start off, the new Dell Streak packs some serious specs for a 5 inch Android based tablet, 3G connectivity, 5 inch WVGA Gorilla Glass instant-on touch screen display which has a 16:9 ratio optimisation, runs Android 1.6 OS but apparently will gain an Android update with Flash 10.1 later in the year, 5 megapixel camera with front facing lens, Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS with real-time Google Maps, 1GHz processor, web browser with multi-touch support, and comes with a 16GB microSD card preloaded and expandable up to 32GB.
So what about the next generation iPhone, well obviously any specs on the device haven’t actually been confirmed as yet by Apple but we should hopefully have it all confirmed during the Worldwide Developer Conference 2010. However, here’s what the iPhone 4G is rumoured to include spec wise…
The iPhone 4G will supposedly pack a 3.5 inch display with LED backlit glossy widescreen multi-touch and FFS and IPS tech, and fingerprint-resistant oleophobic coating, a 5 megapixel camera with auto-focus, tap to focus tech, 720p HD video recording, video and photo geo-tagging, and a 2 megapixel front facing camera for iChat, assisted GPS, Bluetooth, A4 1GHz processor, and 16GB/32GB/64GB versions.
Size wise between the two devices there not a great deal in it with the iPhone 4G measuring 115.5 x 58.7 x 9.4mm, while the Dell Streak measures 152.5 x 79.2 x 9.9mm. So there it is a comparison between the iPhone 4G and dell Streak specs, so which will you be purchasing?
