If you are one of those waiting to get your mitts on the Nokia N8 smartphone which is due release on the 24th of August which we reported on (here), you may like to know that the latest smartphone out of the Nokia camp might be up for pre-order in July.

According to an article over on The Really Mobile Project, spotted in the Helsinki Headquarters of Nokia was a countdown timer which is apparently ticking away the hours until the Nokia N8 becomes available for pre-order.

The countdown timer display features at a Nokia “Open For Ideas” event and shows how many days and hours are left until people can get their pre-orders in for the smartphone and this suggests that pre-order date will be early July.

Of course the Nokia N8 is the first Nokia smartphone to come packing the Symbian^3 operating system and sports a 12 megapixel camera capable of shooting 720p video, and a 3.5 inch AMOLED touch screen along with a HDMI port.
