AT&T have just recently announced the launch of a new phone on their airwaves the Samsung Rugby II which is a next generation Push to Talk device and we should see it from June 6.
A recent article from Ionut Arghire over at softpedia.com has given us some more information on the device. The handset is expected to come with a military grade design which can withstand environmental conditions.
The phone which will be exclusive to AT&T will also boast HSPA 7.2Mbps connectivity options for that enhanced 3G experience. Its design is a grey rugged clamshell which will also have noise suppression technology and an external speaker for easier communication no matter what kind of environment you find yourself in.
The Samsung Rugby II has military standard MIL STD 810G certification and the device can withstand shock, vibration, rain, solar radiation, temperature extremes plus much more. The device is a no nonsense durable device with easy to use Push to Talk and also one touch button to keep you in touch with your contacts said Michael Woodward Vice president at AT&T Mobility and Consumer Markets.
