The latest gizmo from the Dell stable is of course the Dell Streak, a 5 inch tablet-smartphone which is due to release in the United Kingdom on the 4th of June, yep only three days to go, and as the device is so close to release it’s time for some pricing.
According to an article over on Engadget by Sean Hollister, the UK’s Carphone Warehouse has now come forth with the pricing details for the Dell Streak which will be a free device when signing up for a contract, or will cost you £429 off contract.
To gain the Dell Streak for free you will be required to go for O2 data plans of £25 mobile broadband otherwise a £35 voice and unlimited data plan. The pricing places the Dell Streak roughly in the same range as the Carphone Warehouse iPhone 3GS, while the off contract price puts the Dell Streak on the same level as the 16GB iPad.
No word on whether O2 official pricing for the Dell Streak will come out any lower, but it shouldn’t be too long before some more official figures hit the net waves concerning the Dell Streak and as soon as we hear we’ll of course pass them along.
