There have been numerous reports which are suggesting that Telefonica Spain no longer carries Apple’s iPhone and the latest has been covered by Ionut Arghire over at softpedia.com
The carrier has not limited the move to just the 3G handset but has apparently also pulled the iPhone 3GS a device which we all no is very far from being obsolete. Some speculation is that it is simply due to depleted stock.
It has been confirmed by MacNN that Telefonica Spain has actually pulled both the iPhone 3G and the iPhone 3GS from sale in Spain which is the operators home country. Apple has stopped selling the iPhone 3Gthrough its online store.
It isn’t only Apple themselves that have stopped selling the extremely popular handset but US retailers including Walmart have also stopped selling the iPhone 3G. It seems that pretty much everybody is waiting for Apple to make the launch of the iPhone 4.
