Developers Prefer to Work on iPhone Apps Reports Study
Apparently the majority of software developers prefer building apps for the iconic iPhone and any rival operating system, according to a recent survey by market strategy group IGR.
According to an article over on Itproportal by James Cullimore, the IGR study shows that almost 53% of app developer’s second choice of platform is Research In Motion’s BlackBerry operating system, the Android OS and Windows Mobile 6.5.
The IGR survey was conducted during May and surveyed 204 developers and as a result shows that there is a shift from last years IGR survey were developers show a preference for Windows Mobile, and highlights the interest developers have in the iPhone .
Apparently when considering which platform to develop for, the survey indicated that multi-touch capabilities were a commanding factor. IGR research vice president, Matthew Vartabedian has stated that it is considered that Apple provide the best support, and then comes Android.
