Update: HTC EVO 4G 3x More Popular than iPhone 4G Says Poll
On the 31st of May I posted an update to our HTC EVO 4G, iPhone 4G and HTC Droid Incredible popularity poll which had the HTC EVO 4G taking a commanding lead over the other two smartphones, keeping the much hyped iPhone 4G at bay in second position.
Well as there is only one more day to go before the HTC EVO 4G hits the shelves and the public can get their mitts on the first 4G enabled device, I thought I’d do a follow up to let you know just how things are progressing, and of course you can add your vote and comments by hitting up (here)
Well basically with just one day to go for the release of the HTC EVO 4G, the handset still has a huge gap over the iPhone 4G and to be honest is leaving the Apple device behind loitering in the mobile dust.
So as of June 3rd, the votes in our popularity poll go something like this…2,382 votes have been cast so far with the HTC EVO 4G grabbing 1,584 of those votes putting it firmly in front with 66% of the vote. The iPhone 4G still holds onto second place with 437 votes which is 18% of the vote, which means according to the figures the HTC EVO 4G is more than 3x as popular as the iPhone 4G.
As for the HTC Droid Incredible, well for some reason even though it has been said to be an incredible device it has garnered 270 votes which is just 11% of the vote, while those that aren’t sure are 79 votes at 3% and those that aren’t bothered is 12 votes or 1%.
So, will the HTC EVO 4G be able to maintain that vast commanding lead in popularity once it is released and when the iPhone 4G gets unveiled at WWDC 2010? Perhaps what we are seeing with the HTC EVO 4G is an actual iPhone killer in the making.
We’ll keep the poll open and I’ll update in a few days time to see if the announcement of the iPhone 4G does show any effect on just how popular the HTC EVO 4G is.
