Word has it that the new Nokia X5, a device reportedly being touted as a follow up to the Nokia Twist, has now officially launched in Singapore, and is the latest square style slider handset out of the Nokia stable.
According to an article over on Engadget by Nilay Patel, by way of Symbianku, this particular Nokia X5 isn’t the first X5 as a China only Nokia X5 sporting a completely different design was announced back in April, and they aren’t too sure why the square design seems to be the rage today.
Apparently there are no official specifications available for the Nokia X5 but rumour has it the device packs a 5 megapixel camera, YouTube, MySpace and Facebook integration, a type of shake based notification feature, and runs on Symbian S60 OS.
The word is the Nokia X5 will be available in a choice of 4 colours, hot pink, black, yellow and bright blue and is a fairly thick device, other than that there’s not much else known at the moment but as soon as we hear more on those specs we’ll let you know.
