Word has it that the world’s first Android OS smartphone packing a built in DLP pico projector, the Samsung Galaxy Beam, which carries the codename Halo, will launch in Singapore sometime in July.
According to a Thomas Ricker report over on Engadget, the July launch of the Samsung Galaxy Beam could mean Europe seeing a “broader launch” not too long after, and the Samsung Galaxy Beam will pack the Android 2.1 operating system.
Detail wise the Samsung Galaxy Beam sports a 3.7 inch Super AMOLED display, 8 megapixel camera with flash, front facing VGA and HD video, FM radio, A-GPS, 7.2Mbps HSPA 900/1900/2100, quad-band GSM/EDGE, WiFi and Bluetooth 3.0.
As for memory on the Samsung Galaxy Beam is listed as 4Gb + 2Gb +1Gb + 16Gb MoviNAND, which seems somewhat confusing, and there’s no inkling the microSD slot which was previously on the device at MWC 2010. More as and when we know.
