For those who are Droid fans and are patiently awaiting the next generation Droid device, the Motorola Droid 2 smartphone, the word is Motorola will be launching the Droid 2 on the 23rd of July.
According to an article by Sascha Segan over at PCMag, via Gearlog, the new Motorola Droid 2 handset may also pack Adobe Flash as apparently one of the speakers at the launch event is the CEO of Adobe.
This in turn implies that the Motorola Droid 2 will run the Android 2.2 operating system packing Adobe Flash 10.1 support, although apparently it is still unclear whether this Motorola Droid 2 device is the Droid Shadow or Droid Xtreme.
One point to notice is that this Motorola Droid 2 launch just happens to be set for the day before the new Apple iPhone 4 is released to the public, so perhaps Motorola, Verizon, Adobe and Google are hoping to drag some attention away from their biggest rival.
