Sony Ericsson has now officially unveiled the latest device in their XPERIA Line, the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X8 smartphone, a device which sits in the middle of the SE X10 and SE X10 Mini with its’ 3 inch touch screen.
According to an article by Vladislav Savov, over at Engagdet by way of GSMhelpdesk, the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X8 runs Android 1.6 OS under a customised skin and means whether you like it or not you’ll get the social TimeScape and MediaScape aggregators.
Spec wise the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X8 offers the user a 3 inch capacitive scratch resistant touch screen, a 3.2 megapixel camera with geo-tagging and video recording along with direct picture upload to Facebook, Bluetooth +A2DP, Music player, PlayNow, TrackID, WiFi, A-GPS, Google services, a 3.5mm jack, and interchangeable covers.
Availability and price wise, the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X8 will e available in White-Aqua Blue, White-Dark Blue, White-Silver, White-Pink, and White and should be available as of Q3 2010 commanding an approximate price of €259 which is roughly $318.
