iPhone 4 May See Retina Display Screen Supply Issues Says Analyst
The new iPhone 4 is due release on Thursday, and many are expecting to receive the latest tech device from Apple, but demand has been high, and apparently there is a possible supply issue looming in the wings which the iPhone 4 Retina display.
According to an article over on AfterDawn, by James “Dela” Delahunty, the managing director and senior technology analyst for Rodman & Renshaw, Ashok Kumar, has stated that supply issues may appear with the iPhone 4 over the coming months.
According to Kumar’s research note, “Low yields on the IPS LCD panel from LG Display have dramatically impacted the production volumes for iPhone 4.”
Kumar has also said that according to their supply chain checks shipment estimates of 4 million per month have now been re-set to roughly half that quantity and that demand is more than likely to be chasing supply through the month of September.
