iOS 4 tested apps are quickly hitting the App Store and Twitter isn’t going to be left lagging behind as the official Twitter application for the iPhone has now gained some sweet iOS 4 support.

According to an article over on Engadget by Vlad Savov, Twitter (iTunes link) has now pushed out an iOS 4 updated version of the official Twitter app which means you should be able to tweet to your hearts content whilst switching in and out of other apps.

Although this apparently also means the user will need to re-launch Twitter for iPhone whenever they wish to check out the latest that is going on as it will only keep your place along with “more secure tweeting, video and photo posting.”

Apparently also in the updated version package you get Retina Display friendly graphics, a bug fix for stuck top tweets and English and Japanese language.
