Verizon iPhone Is Still A Hot Subject With Analysts
Everyone and their aunt wants to see the much talked about Verizon iPhone materialise, and this apparently includes analysts as they continue to fuel the rumours of the much talked about CDMA iPhone for Verizon Wireless.
According to an article over on the Boy Genius Report by Kelly Hodgkins, and by way of an article posted on Barrons, analysts continue to speculate on whether Apple will eventually deliver the iPhone to the Big Red network.
Barclays Capital analyst, Ben Reitzes states that a Verizon iPhone could well enter production in the fourth quarter of 2010 and land in the 1st calendar quarter of 2011, and further estimates that Verizon Wireless could potentially shift up to 9 million CDMA iPhone units next year and also anticipates a market in Asia for a CDMA iPhone 4 variant.
On the other hand, Scott Craig, analyst for Bank of America/Merrill Lynch, reckons the success of the iconic iPhone in the unlocked markets is an important factor to delivering a Verizon iPhone and predicts that the Big Red could shift 8 million iPhones in FY 2011.
Now those figures, I would have though would be at least tempting to Apple, so maybe Apple will come up with the goods in the not too distant further, what do you think?
