Swype, you must have heard of them, the new way of inputting text into messages faster? Well apparently Swype has its eye on moving to Apple iconic baby the iPhone at some point in the future if Swype gets their way of course.
According to an article over on Electronista, by way of Reuters, Swype has announced that they are working on developing a new version of their software for the iPhone with a view to licensing their keyboard software to Apple, but as yet Swype hasn’t approached Apple formally.
Mike McSherry, the chief exec of Swype has said, “We would like to be on iPhone. It remains to be seen.” Whether Swype will be successful with Apple is another matter as it is quite clear that Apple likes to develop their own tech in house.
Other than wanting to be on the iPhone, Swype can now be found on handsets from the likes of HTC, Samsung, Motorola, and will also be on the new Motorola Droid X.
