For all you Droid fans out there that may be thinking of grabbing the new Motorola Droid X when it becomes available, you might like to know that if you head on over to best Buy you can pre-order the device as of right now.
According to an Ionut Arghire, article over on Softpedia, the latest Motorola smartphone in the Verizon Droid line-up can now be placed on pre-order with Best Buy so they can gain the device as of launch.
The senior director of merchandising for Best Buy, Scott Anderson has said, “With the buzz we’ve seen around the Android platform, Best Buy is confident that consumers will be thrilled about the Verizon DROID X by Motorola pre-sale. It has been a great summer for smartphones with the HTC EVO and iPhone 4 launches, and the addition of the DROID X adds another strong option for our customers to consider.”
The Motorola Droid X on the Verizon network will command a price tag of $199.99 on a 2-year agreement with a mail in rebate if purchased from Verizon; however, if you pre-order the device from Best Buy the device will still cost $199.99 but does away with the hassle of the mail in rebate, and the Motorola Droid X will be available as of the 15th of July.
