For all you Droid fanatics out there who have been patiently waiting for a release date and pricing on the new Motorola Droid X, we now have some info on those two important points for you.

According to an article over on Business-and-Finance, the hottest android smartphone to come to the Big Red will be released on the 19th of July and will command a price tag of $199.99 after a mail in rebate of $100 if purchased direct from Verizon.

However, if you opt to gain your Motorola Droid X device from Best Buy you will not have to wait for the mail in rebate as this is given at the checkout so the device will be in your hands for just $199.99.

Android is the biggest rival and threat to Apple and their iPhone 4 although one does have to say that it is highly unlikely the Motorola Droid X will outsell the iPhone 4, and probably won’t hit anywhere near the 1.7 million iPhone 4 units sold in the first 3 days; although the Droid X should do well.
