The word is that the Big Red is gearing up to launch their LTE network across 25 markets as of the 15th of November which will apparently deliver access to their next generation network to 100 million subscribers.
According to an article over on the Boy Genius Report by Michael Bettiol, they gained this info via a new tipster, and that although LTE enabled devices will not be available at launch, Verizon is planning on releasing “a slew of new devices.”
Apparently the new Verizon mobile phones will be released on November the 26th which of course is Black Friday, so maybe we’ll see some decent Black Friday deals coming out of the Big Red.
Furthermore Verizon LTE plans will be tiered, but won’t apparently be doing what Sprint has done and charge customers an extra $10 for accessing their LTE network, which is one good thing anyway; more as and when we hear.
