Apparently 3UK has now scrapped their unlimited plans and has now launched a new tariff that aims to undercut rival carriers in the contracts market, and the new 3UK plan is known as “One Plan.”
According to an article over on Mobile Today, 3UK’s “One Plan,” begins pricing at £25 for SIM only plans and delivers to the consumer 5,000 3-to-3 minutes, 2,000 any network minutes, 1GB data and 5,000 texts, and is an aggressive move by 3UK to increase their contract market share.
Kevin Russell, chief exec for 3UK has said, ‘We have not increased one iota in terms of voice traffic. Our number one challenge is termination rates — they are fundamentally wrong and flawed. We have abdicated the contract market and pushed hard over the last three years for MTRs to be addressed.”
Russell continued with, ‘We have not increased one iota in terms of voice traffic. Our number one challenge is termination rates — they are fundamentally wrong and flawed. We have abdicated the contract market and pushed hard over the last three years for MTRs to be addressed.
3UK is launching the new “One Palm” today the 1st of July ahead of their expectation of MTRs, (mobile termination rates) coming down, something Russell expects to drastically fall in Q1 of 2011 after Ofcom’s proposal this year.
