Getting right into the mobile applications arena is LG as apparently the electronics firm has announced the launch of a new applications store for smartphone which features in excess of 3,000 mobile apps for smartphones and feature phones in 33 countries.

According to Luigi Lugmayr, over on i4u, LG is now ready to deliver a full range of “useful” application to their customers which include such mobile games as Asphalt 4, The SIM 3 and popular apps from SPB series, along with Android apps being available via the LG app store later in the year.

As of today the new LG Application Store will be available to customers in 23 markets and LG is looking to raise the quantity of available apps to near 4,000 by the year’s end.

LG is also looking to expand their app store to 33 countries which includes the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Iran and Spain although as yet the LG Application Store is unavailable in the US.
