HTC Desire Plays Nice with Android 2.2 Froyo Port
If you are an HTC Desire owner waiting for the official build of Android 2.2 to hit your device in Q3, you may like to know that the latest Android operating system has now been successfully ported to the HTC Desire although not officially.
According to Darren Murph of Engadget, udK_dev of XDA-developers has managed to port an almost perfect version of Android 2.2 Froyo to the HTC Desire and is apparently working really well.
As one would expect the Froyo port comes with HTC Sense baked in, while the camera has seen an upgrade to do 720p video recording and although there are still a few issues to sort out, users of the ported Android 2.2 seem to be very pleased how its working.
If you fancy having a short at porting Android 2.2 Froyo to your HTC Desire then hit up the XDA-developers forum when you can grab all the low down on how to, and doing so will probably take about an hour.
