Looks like everyone and their aunt want to get in on the smartphone game as apparently Fujitsu is gearing up to launch an Android based smartphone according to several Japanese newspapers.
Kelly Hodgkins of the Boy Genius Report, reports via Mobile Crunch, that Fujitus’s first Android smartphone is expected to go with NTT DoCoMo sometime next year and will be the first smartphone in the Fujitsu lineup.
Naturally details on the Fujitsu Android device are somewhat scarce but the word is Fujitsu is expecting to market the Android based device outside Japan as well.
With a merger of mobile business operations between Fujitsu and Toshiba on the cards for around October perhaps the new Fujitsu device will incorporate all the high end features delivered by Toshiba’s TG01 and mix in some innovative design: more as and when we hear.
