iPhone navigation application, Navigon is to release an update to their iPhone app which will enable multitasking on iOS 4 which means the user will be able to least the Navigon navigation application running when a call comes in.
According to an article over on Newsden by Uzair Danish and by way of an article over on Macrumors, the United States and Canadian version of Navigon for iPhone will see the iOS 4 update first with regional versions of the applications following shortly after.
Navigon has also release a video showing how an iPhone user can quickly switch to Safari and return to the navigation app along with demonstrating allowing “voice guidance” to continue in the background during a call.
The Navigon Mobilenavigator 1.6.0 for iPhone iOS 4 update doesn’t have a confirmed release date as yet, however apparently the iPhone applications is with Apple for review.
